Welcome Back to School

The first day of school is Tuesday, September 2nd. Our welcome week begins with all students in Grades 1-7 attending from 9:00am – 10:00am on Tuesday. If your child will not be here on the first day, please contact the office at Twelfth Avenue Elementary by emailing TwelfthAvenue.Info@burnabyschools.ca or phoning 604-296-9035

Until classes are finalized, all students in Grades 1-7 will be returning to their previous teacher’s classroom. Your child will be coming and going from this temporary class placement until teachers are assigned to particular classes. All students will be lining up outside the exterior door of their classroom. New students will be in the library for Tuesday, September 2nd and then will have a temporary classroom for the week.

Starting Wednesday, September 3rd, classes will be in session from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Bring a lunch, snack and a water bottle. Please ensure your child arrives to school on time. In the event they arrive after 9:00 am, please check in at the office so they can be welcomed and so that attendance can be updated accordingly.

Classes will not be finalized until the second week of school.

Kindergarten students follow the gradual entry schedule that was emailed at the end of June.
